Almitas Training and Consultancy are offering a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team of Assessors and Internal Verifiers. 

Job Description:

SVQ Assessor/Internal Verifier, Social Services and Healthcare

Home based with travel – To cover various locations throughout Scotland

Hours Available: Part time – 35 hours per week

Salary £22,750 – £24,000 pro rata depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure Social Services and Healthcare SVQ candidates and colleagues are supported to meet and maintain standards as per Centre and Awarding Body QS Assessment Strategy and Guidance and Quality Frameworks.

. Assess and/or Internally Verify candidate portfolios

· Be able to maintain a high consistent quality of work.

· Maintain your own caseload of candidates achieve their qualification outcomes in accordance with agreed timescales

. Develop working relationships with candidates and their Managers.

· Be able to work on your own as well as being a team player.

. Ability to work independently and remotely

· Managing your own diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.

· Continually develop your personal skills and knowledge.

· Organise and maintain documentation on candidate progress.

. A good standard of IT skills, using Google workspace and Microsoft

· Support, advise, motivate candidates and help overcome barriers to learning adapting delivery to meet needs.

Home/Field based – Predominately home-based but must be flexible and willing to travel various services throughout Scotland

Desirable qualifications:

Internal Verifier – L&D11 or Equivalent – Have in-depth knowledge of the Internal Verifier and Assessor process

Essential qualifications:

Minimum Social Services and Healthcare SVQ SCQF Level 7

Assessor Qualifications D32/3, A1 or LD9DI – Experience in delivery of SVQ2, 3 and 4 Qualifications (Adult Care and CYP)

Current occupational and assessment Continuous Professional Development.

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is also essential as you will be required to visit candidates within their workplace throughout Scotland.
